In the period from Monday 1 to Sunday 7 July 2024, a Summer School was held in Karpenisi with the participation of 66 Students and Teachers from Greece, Cyprus and Portugal.
The aim of the Summer School was to implement a weekly educational activity centered on the connection with Nature and the practice of mindfulness. The summer school was experiential so that Participating Students and Teachers could learn through experience.
The program included environmental visits and activities in Palaio Mikro Chorio, in the town of Karpenisi, in Tornos (trail of Waterfalls), in the Folklore Museum of Tornos, in Monastery of Proussos, in the sycamore forest of Gorgianades, in Kefalovrysso, in Krikello, in the historic Krikellos’ Primary School, in Megalo Chorio, in Koryschades, in the Museum of National Resistance, in Prophitis Ilias Myriki.
